Support of the centres of social activity development of NGO in the Eastern Europe
Development of consulting centres of social activity and self-help of non-governmental organizations in the Eastern Ukraine (June-December 2016, under Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany financial support).
Chernobyl History Workshop realized the project “Development of consulting centres of social activity and self-help of non-governmental organizations in the Eastern Ukraine” under the help of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and The International Educational Centre, Dortmund in 2016. The goal of the project was to strength the potential of self-help of social non-governmental organizations, mending the interconnection and constructive dialogue between the above mentioned and state structures in Kharkov and Dnepr regions.
The work on the project was conducted in three main areas:
- Consultancy for creation and providing of successful functioning for social enterprises of nongovernmental organizations of disable people.
- Development and strengthening of partnership between social non-governmental organizations with different target groups, improving of their professional level.
- Mending of the dialogue between social non-governmental organizations and state structures on the problems of inclusion and employment of disable people.
The legal seminars for non-governmental organizations working with disable children and trainings on different aspects of creation and development of social enterprises were conducted in Kharkov and Dnepr during the realization of the project. The representatives of National assemble of disabled people of Ukraine and Chernobyl History Workshop underwent a training in German Consultancy Centre, Berlin, for social enterprises in 2016. There they learned the peculiarities of organization and functioning of similar enterprises in Germany.
Moreover, School of Civil Activity worked on the base of Chernobyl History Workshop. The goal of the school was to help future generation to develop a civil activity, to understand the necessity of volunteer movement and to take part in it, and also to realize planned projects in practice. The project also included the work of non-governmental organizations Workshop, within which forum «Social Vitamin-B» already accepted in Kharkov as a platform for presentation and meeting with non-governmental organizations of social orientation was supported. Three representatives of the Workshop got the opportunity to adopt practices of work from German non-governmental organizations.
This project allowed to enlarge the professionalism of social non-governmental organizations work; strengthen interconnection between their active representatives and workers from state structure with the aim of reducing the social tension and developing a civil society in Ukraine.
